Summary
A two-story building in the suburbs of Kyiv began to show significant signs of subsidence, including extensive cracking of the walls. Additionally, the hotel's doors and windows no longer functioned properly. The homeowner could not lock the front door or bedroom window.
The subsidence was caused by broken drain pipes, which let water under the house for an entire block. The three-bedroom, two-bathroom house was built on a clay foundation, which had to be taken into account to prevent further subsidence and damage.
Statical was contracted to help strengthen the structures and stabilize the foundation and prevent further damage.
Goals
The first task was to stop the subsidence of the structure, taking into account the soft clay soil after prolonged wetting. The subsidence and damage to the house were serious, but, fortunately, localized in the area of the water drainage system failure.
Due to the degree of subsidence and the extremely poor condition of the foundation, Stati-Cal experts recognized from the very beginning that the solution would have to be implemented in several stages.
The first stage is to eliminate the cause of the sediment - to repair the drainage system and stabilize the foundation. The second stage is to strengthen the cracked structures and sew up the cracks.
Minimum disturbance was allowed for the residents of the building in the form of the presence of employees on their land during the works.

Specialists used fully autonomous deployment to place all necessary equipment on site.
The project was carried out for 4 days without taking into account the time for repairing communications and replacing damaged doors and windows.
The homeowner was impressed with the results and recommended the company to a neighbor whose house was also experiencing significant problems of a similar nature.
